Tanah merupakan material gembur yang menyelimuti permukaan bumi yang mampu menjadi media tumbuh tanaman berakar pada lokasi lingkungan alami. Jenny menyatakan proses pembentukan tanah merupakan fungsi iklim, organisme, relief, waktu, bentuklahan. Kelima factor tersebut memiliki factor pembentuk tanah saling mempengaruhi secara kompleks dan menghasilkan tubuh tanah yang berbeda menurut ruang dan waktu.
Dalam pemetaan tanah disetiap daerah dapat menggunakan 2 cara diantaranya sistematis sampling dan secara geomorfologis. Masing-masing cara tersebut mempunyai keuntungan dan kerugian yang berbeda. Cara pemetaan tanah secara geomorfologis dapat dilakukan dengan langkah, pertama mengidentifikasi bentuk lahan dengan menggunakan citra penginderaan jauh sesuai dengan daerah yang dikaji, karena tiap bentuk lahan mempunyai jenis tanah yang berbeda-beda. Informasi yang didapat dari citra penginderaan jauh masih kurang dan tidak bisa sampai ke jenis tanahnya tetapi dapat mengindentifikasi sampai ordo atau sub ordo dari suatu tanah. Penggunaan citra penginderaan jauh ini dilakukan untuk mengganti pekerjaan lapangan yang membutuhkan biaya dan tenaga yang besar.

Macam-macam kawasan dalam studi kota

• Kawasan perdesaan adalah kawasan yang mempunyai kegiatan utama pertanian termasuk pengelolaan sumber daya alam dengan susunan fungsi kawasan sebagai tempat permukiman perdesaa, pelayanan jasa pemerintahan, pelayanan sosial, dan kegiatan ekonomi.  
• Kawasan agropolitan adalah kawasan yang terdiri atas satu atau lebih pusat kegiatan pada wilayah perdesaan sebagai sistem produksi pertanian dan pengelolaan sumber daya alam tertentu yang ditunjukkan oleh adanya keterkaitan fungsional dan hierarki keruangan satuan sistem permukiman dan sistem agrobisnis (UU No 26. Tahun 2007 tentang Penataan Ruang).
• Kawasan perkotaan adalah kawasan yang mempunyai kegiatan utama bukan pertanian dengan susunan fungsi kawasan sebagai tempat permukiman perkotaan, pemusatan dan distribusi pelayanan jasa pemerintahan, pelayanan sosial, dan kegiatan ekonomi.

?    So, if we have already modified the open software we may get the license where possibly we need a different name for the version or else.

?    Jadi, apabila kita sudah memodifikasi suatu program maka kita juga bias mendapatkan lisensi atas software tersebut namun mungkin kita perlu nama versi baru maupun yang lainnya.

?    The license must be well made because it may not discriminate such kind of person or group, so, it should be in the neutral one.

Suhu/Temperatur udara

Temperatur udara adalah tingkat atau derajat panas dari kegiatan molekul dalam atmosfer yang dinyatakan dengan skala Celcius, Fahrenheit, atau skala Reamur.Perlu diketahui bahwa suhu udara antara daerah satu dengan daerah lain sangat berbeda. hal ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh hal-hal tersebut.

A.    Sudut Datangnya Sinar Matahari


B.    Tinggi Rendahnya Tempat
Semakin tinggi kedudukan suatu tempat, temperatur udara di tempat tersebut akan semakin rendah, begitu juga sebaliknya semakin rendah kedudukan suatu tempat, temperatur udara akan semakin tinggi. Perbedaan temperatur udara yang disebabkan adanya perbedaan tinggi rendah suatu daerah disebut amplitudo.
Alat yang digunakan untuk mengatur tekanan udara dinamakan termometer. Garis khayal yang menghubungkan tempat-tempat yang mempunyai tekanan udara sama disebut Garis isotherm. Salah satu sifat khas udara yaitu bila kita naik 100 meter, suhu udara akan turun 0,6 °C. Di Indonesia suhu rata-rata tahunan pada ketinggian 0 meter adalah 26 °C. Misal, suatu daerah dengan ketinggian 5.000 m di atas permukaan laut suhunya adalah 26 °C × -0,6 °C = -4 °C, jadi suhu udara di daerah tersebut adalah -4 °C.
Perbedaan temperatur tinggi rendahnya suatu daerah dinamakan derajat geotermis. Suhu udara rata-rata tahunan pada setiap wilayah di Indonesia berbeda-beda sesuai dengan tinggi rendahnya tempat tersebut dari permukaan laut.

C.    Angin dan Arus Laut
Angin dan arus laut mempunyai pengaruh terhadap temperatur udara. Misalnya, angin dan arus dari daerah yang dingin, akan menyebabkan daerah yang dilalui angin tersebut juga akan menjadi dingin.

D.    Lamanya Penyinaran
Lamanya penyinaran matahari pada suatu tempat tergantung dari letak garis lintangnya. Semakin rendah letak garis lintangnya maka semakin lama daerah tersebut mendapatkan sinar matahari dan suhu udaranya semakin tinggi.
Sebaliknya, semakin tinggi letak garis lintang maka intensitas penyinaran matahari semakin kecil sehingga suhu udaranya semakin rendah. Indonesia yang terletak di daerah lintang rendah (6 °LU – 11 °LS) mendapatkan penyinaran matahari relatif lebih lama sehingga suhu rata-rata hariannya cukup tinggi.

E.    Awan
Awan merupakan penghalang pancaran sinar matahari ke bumi. Jika suatu daerah terjadi awan (mendung) maka panas yang diterima bumi relatif sedikit, hal ini disebabkan sinar matahari tertutup oleh awan dan kemampuan awan menyerap panas matahari.
Permukaan daratan lebih cepat menerima panas dan cepat pula melepaskan panas, sedangkan permukaan lautan lebih lambat menerima panas dan lambat pula melepaskan panas. Apabila udara pada siang hari diselimuti oleh awan, maka temperatur udara pada malam hari akan semakin dingin.
